Dr. Jenna Fitzgerald
Counselor and Teacher
Dr. Fitzgerald earned her Ph.D in Counselor Education from Virginia Tech, is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP).
Dr. Fitzgerald is the founder and owner of Healing Connections Counseling LLC. She practices with a group practice in the Roanoke, VA area and specializes in helping clients with complex trauma. She serves her clients with a variety of therapeutic approaches that include motivational interviewing, humanistic, and emotion-focused modalities. Dr. Fitzgerald has taught at many higher education institutions, including Virginia Tech, Radford University, the University of Virginia’s College at Wise, and Bluefield University.
Dr. Fitzgerald enjoys supporting people as a counselor. She realizes that as one person, she can only support so many people. However, through coupling her counseling expertise with her drive to teach, and her husband’s audio/video background, Dr. Fitzgerald is developing a library of online training modules that enable her to support those who support people… enabling her to support exponentially more people!
Originally from rural southwest Virginia, Dr. Fitzgerald is now based around Roanoke, VA.
